Pebb vs Connecteam: Per-User Plans vs Per-Hub Pricing

Connecteam is a real frontline platform. The catch is how you buy it. Operations, Communications, and HR & Skills are three hubs sold separately. Chat lives in one. The time clock lives in another. PTO lives in a third. Past the free plan for 10 people, you are shopping a catalog, not buying one employee app.

Pebb is an all-in-one employee app for the floor and the office. You pay per person, not per hub. [Basic is $2.50 per user per month](https://pebb.io/pricing) for chat, shifts, clock-in, timesheets, and a directory. Premium is $4 and adds calls, a news feed, PTO, tasks, forms, a wiki, analytics, and SSO. Unlimited Spaces on both plans — not billed hubs. Chat is org-wide. No free plan. Full trial, no card.

This comparison is for 11–80 person construction, field, security, warehouse, hospitality, and multi-location teams that outgrew “free for 10” and do not want three invoices to run a Tuesday. Keep Connecteam if you only need one hub, or if LMS and hiring pipelines are load-bearing. This page is for everyone who bought “the employee app” and then discovered chat was a hub.

At a glance

**Pick Pebb** if you want chat, shifts, GPS clock-in, timesheets, and (on Premium) calls, PTO, tasks, forms, and a wiki billed per person. Spaces unlimited. Chat org-wide. Full trial, no card. No payroll, LMS, ATS, or live GPS breadcrumbs. Offline does not fully work.

**Pick Connecteam** if you have 10 or fewer people (Small Business is free, all hubs), if you only need one hub such as a time clock, or if LMS, quizzes, and hiring pipelines are why you opened the app. Expert Operations does live GPS breadcrumbs. Pebb does not.

Pricing and plans

USD. Connecteam first-30-user hub prices below are **annual billing**, as published in August 2026: Basic $29, Advanced $49, Expert $99 per hub per month. Extra users after 30 bill per hub. Monthly costs more. Re-check Connecteam’s pricing page before you sign.

Pebb: no free plan. Basic $2.50/user. Premium $4/user. Full trial, no card. See [Pebb pricing](https://pebb.io/pricing). Deeper hubs math: [Connecteam pricing and hubs explained](/connecteam-pricing-hubs).

Ten people

Connecteam Small Business is **$0**. All three hubs. Stay there until you hire number 11.

Pebb Basic is **$25**. Chat, shifts, clock-in, timesheets, directory. Pebb Premium is **$40**. Adds calls, feed, PTO, tasks, forms, wiki, analytics, SSO.

Ten people is Connecteam’s home turf. Do not switch for a slogan.

Twenty-five people

Pebb Basic is **$62.50**. Pebb Premium is **$100**.

Connecteam, one Advanced hub: **$49** (annual, first 30 included). One hub. Time clock *or* chat *or* HR — not all three unless you buy them.

Connecteam, three Advanced hubs: **~$147**. Ops + Comms + HR.

If you only need a time clock, one Connecteam hub can be cheaper. Say that out loud. If you need chat, schedule, clock-in, PTO, tasks, forms, and a wiki, Pebb is one line item.

Forty people

Pebb Basic is **$100**. Pebb Premium is **$160**.

Connecteam, one Advanced hub: **$49** for the first 30, then extra users on that hub. Three Advanced hubs: **~$147** for the first 30, then extra users on every hub. At 40 you are 10 past the first-30 block — three hubs means three extra-user meters.

Pros and cons

Pebb

  • **Pros:** One per-user price; unlimited Spaces for sites, teams, or projects; org-wide chat; clock-in, tasks, forms, files, and a knowledge base in the same app; no per-hub math.

  • - **Cons:** You pay for every user, including occasional users. If most of your workforce only needs a single clock, a hub may cost less.

Connecteam

  • **Pros:** Pay less for a narrow use case. A single hub can cover time tracking or basic operations for a small group.

  • - **Cons:** The full toolset gets expensive as you add hubs; one hub does not give you every capability; teams can end up managing separate features and pricing blocks.

Feature comparison

**Chat and communication.** Pebb includes org-wide chat and Spaces without extra modules. Connecteam offers chat inside its hub structure, so the scope depends on the hubs you purchase.

**Time clock and attendance.** Both support time tracking and clock-in workflows. Connecteam can be attractive when time clock is the only requirement. Pebb keeps clock-in alongside chat, tasks, forms, and files.

**Scheduling and shifts.** Pebb supports schedules and shift coordination in the same per-user plan. Connecteam’s scheduling depth depends on the plan and hub combination.

**Forms and workflows.** Pebb includes forms and shared workspaces. Connecteam provides forms and workflows through its operations-focused hubs.

**Spaces and structure.** Pebb Spaces let you create areas for each site, crew, department, or project without buying another hub. Connecteam’s organization is centered on hubs and their feature sets.

Which one should you choose?

Choose Pebb when you want one employee app for communication and operations across many sites or departments, with predictable per-user pricing and unlimited Spaces.

Choose Connecteam when your needs are narrow and a single hub—especially time tracking—covers the work. Compare the real total at your headcount and include every hub you would need.

Bottom line

Pebb is the simpler all-in-one option when you want chat, schedules, clock-in, forms, tasks, files, and Spaces in one per-user plan. Connecteam can win for a focused single-hub deployment, but its per-hub model requires a closer fit check as your needs grow.

Who each is for

Pebb is for

  • 11–80 people, frontline plus a small office.

  • - Construction crews, field techs, security, warehouses, multi-location ops, cafés and retail floors that outgrew a spreadsheet and a group chat.

  • - Teams that live on phones, not email, and currently split WhatsApp / a schedule tool / a shared drive.

  • - Operators who want “who’s on,” “clock in,” and “tell the team” in one login.

  • Connecteam is for

  • - 10 or fewer people who should not pay anyone yet.

  • - A specialist time-clock or training desk: one Operations hub, or HR & Skills for courses and hiring.

  • - Mobile crews that need live breadcrumbs, a geofence library, and kiosk-style workflows Pebb does not sell.

  • - Companies that already run Connecteam as the LMS and recruiting desk.

  • Feature by feature

  • Clock-in and GPS

  • **Winner: Connecteam if you need live tracking. Pebb if you need a punch next to chat.**

  • Connecteam stamps GPS on paid Operations, adds geofencing from Advanced, and runs breadcrumb trails on Expert — location history while someone is on the clock. That is built for crews that move.

  • Pebb clock-in can GPS-stamp the punch and optionally require the person near a branch. It is not live tracking. It is not telematics. Most warehouses, job sites, and shops need “they punched at the place,” not a map of the afternoon. If you need the map, stay on Expert Ops.
