If you only need a time clock, Connecteam’s one-hub price can be lower. If you need the daily work app — chat, calls, schedule, clock-in, PTO, tasks, forms, wiki — Pebb is one line item.
“Connecteam is free for 10 people.”
True. Their Small Business Plan is free for up to 10 users, all hubs.
Then user 11 shows up. Paid Connecteam is a hub catalog: $29, $49, or $99 per hub per month for the first 30 people (annual), times however many hubs you need. Chat is not “included.” It’s a hub. PTO is not “included.” It’s a hub.
Pebb’s answer is boring on purpose:

Ten people on Pebb Premium is $40. Not free. It is one app your closer and your bookkeeper can both open, and it does not jump to three subscriptions when you hire number 11.
“Connecteam’s GPS is more serious.”
Also true, if “serious” means live tracking.
Connecteam’s Operations hub can stamp GPS on clock-in, geofence sites (up to 10 on Advanced, unlimited on Expert), and run breadcrumb trails on Expert — location history while someone is on the clock. That is built for mobile crews where the job moves.
Pebb does GPS clock-in: a location stamp when someone punches. That is enough for most restaurants, shops, and job sites where you need to know they punched at the place, not a live map of the afternoon.
Pick on purpose:
Need breadcrumbs, multi-site geofence libraries, kiosk + NFC, and mandatory form-before-clock-out workflows? Connecteam Operations Expert is the specialist.
Need clock-in next to chat, the schedule, and “here’s the SOP”? That’s Pebb. One app, not a tracking suite plus a comms hub.
We will not pretend Pebb is a telematics product. It isn’t.
“We’ll lose training, courses, and hiring.”
You might, if those are load-bearing.
Connecteam’s HR & Skills hub includes courses, quizzes, documents, recognition, hiring pipelines, and onboarding packs. Pebb’s public pricing page does not list an LMS, applicant tracking, or hiring. Don’t move if Connecteam is your training school and recruiting desk.
What Pebb does replace is the pile around it: WhatsApp, the schedule spreadsheet, the shared drive nobody updates, and the “check the Facebook group” news. Premium gives you tasks, digital forms, a wiki, a news feed, and calls in the same place as shifts and clock-in.
Keep a training tool if you need one. Stop paying a Communications hub just so people can message each other.

Is Pebb cheaper than Connecteam?
Depends what you buy. One Connecteam Advanced hub is $49/month for up to 30 users (annual). Three Advanced hubs are $147. Pebb Premium is $4 per user — $100 for 25 people, $120 for 30 — with chat, calls, ops, PTO, tasks, forms, and wiki on that one plan. Run both numbers with your headcount and your hubs.
Does Pebb have a free plan like Connecteam’s 10-user plan?
No. Pebb’s current plans are Basic at $2.50/user/month and Premium at $4/user/month. You can try every feature free, with no credit card.
Can we keep Connecteam for time clock and use Pebb for chat?
You can. Most teams that do that end up ignoring one of them. The point of Pebb is one app so the closer is not in three places.
Do we need Premium?
If you only need chat, shifts, clock-in, timesheets, and a directory, Basic is enough. Premium adds calls, news feed, PTO, tasks, forms, wiki, analytics, HRIS/AD sync, and SSO.
How fast can we switch?
Create a workspace, share an invite link, set up spaces for each site or crew. Pebb is on iPhone, Android, web, Mac, and Windows. No implementation project required to start a trial.
Does Pebb do payroll?
Pebb is not a payroll processor. Premium includes HRIS & AD sync, and Pebb lists 50+ HR/payroll integrations. Timesheets still leave your payroll tool doing payroll.
