Events live in Spaces

Every Team Calendar belongs to a Space. A Space is a room with a member list — a branch, job site, floor, warehouse, hotel department, or managers-only pod. Turn Events on for that Space; people see meetings and reminders that belong to the Spaces they are in.

One Space per site or crew is the usual pattern so briefings stay local. An Everyone Space can carry all-hands, holidays, and company-wide training. Spaces are unlimited on Basic and Premium — rooms, not billed hubs. Full model: What are Pebb Spaces?.

Chat stays org-wide outside Spaces on purpose. A “are we still meeting at 4?” ping can start in chat; the durable date, time, location, and attendance live on the Space Team Calendar. How it works: Calendar view, List view, navigation

Open Events inside a Space. The main screen is that Space’s shared Team Calendar. You get:

• Calendar view — month / week / day grid so people see what is coming without opening every card

• List view — agenda-style cards with title, description, date/time, owner, Attend / Decline, attending and declined lists

• Refresh — reload after someone creates or updates an event

• Create Event — open the create window (when permissions allow)

• Google Calendar — connect sync between Pebb and Google Calendar

• Today / Back / Next — jump to today or step month, week, or day

Use Calendar view for week/month planning; List view for a scrollable agenda — especially on mobile. Name events the way the floor thinks: “Site Safety Briefing,” “Weekly Team Sync,” “Inventory Count Prep.”

How it works: Create Event

Click Create Event. The window includes:

• Title — clear name (Safety Training, Monthly All-Hands, Pre-Shift Briefing)

• Description — why it matters and what to expect

• Location — Main Office, Warehouse Floor, Construction Site B, Zoom / Google Meet

• Notify everyone in this Space — on for mandatory training; off for quiet calendar entries

• Entire day — holidays, training days, inventory days without a clock time

• Start / End — date plus hour and minute when Entire day is off

• Create Event — saves to the Space calendar (notifies if the toggle is on)

Typical events: site safety briefings, warehouse inventory prep, hotel department meetings, retail sale briefings, and Everyone-Space celebrations.

How it works: Attend, Decline, details

Open an event for title, description, date/time, and event owner. Employees tap Attend or Decline. Attending and Declined lists show who responded — no chasing texts for training headcount.

Copy link shares into chat, news feed, or a task. Delete removes it from the Space calendar — keep modify rights tight.

How it works: Google Calendar sync

The Google Calendar button opens the connection window. Connect so events created in either Pebb or Google Calendar can appear in both.

Office planners can keep thinking in Google; frontline employees open the same events in Pebb on the phone. An all-hands created in Google shows in the Space calendar; safety training created in Pebb lands in Google too.

How it works: permissions

Inside Space settings, enable Events (“Create and organize events, meetings, and celebrations in one shared calendar”) and set who can:

• Create events — Everyone / Admins & Managers / Admins Only

• Modify events — often tighter than create (Admins Only is common so the calendar does not get deleted by accident)

A setup that sticks for 11–80 teams: Everyone can create, Admins only can modify. Floor staff add team lunches; managers keep mandatory dates clean. Turn Events off on Spaces that should stay roster/chat-only.

Events on Premium — how they fit the week

Events / Team Calendar are a Premium ($4) feature. Basic ($2.50) already includes org-wide chat, shifts, clock-in, timesheets, directory, and unlimited Spaces. Premium adds Events plus forms, Time Off, tasks, calls, news feed, Files, wiki, analytics, and SSO — still one seat price, still unlimited Spaces. Trial includes everything so you can run a real Space calendar before you commit seats.

Mobile + web

Frontline access happens on mobile. Employees open the Team Calendar, switch Calendar / List, Attend or Decline, and get notifications when creators turn notify on. Managers create from the phone on site; web is fine for month planning and Google connect. Same Pebb login as chat, shifts, and clock-in.

Construction and field use job-site Spaces for safety briefings. Warehouses schedule inventory prep on the floor Space. Hotels split department calendars and put all-hands in Everyone. Retail runs store meetings per location. Offices keep weekly syncs local. Restaurant pre-shift briefings are a fine secondary example — not the primary beachhead.

Read these before you migrate:

• No free plan. Budget Basic ($2.50) or Premium ($4) seats. Events need Premium. Evaluate with the full trial, no card.

• No payroll, LMS, or ATS. Events are Team Calendar + attendance — not a learning platform, hiring desk, or paycheck engine.

• GPS is a stamp ± optional near-branch on clock-in, not live breadcrumbs.

• Not a full enterprise calendar suite. Complex external invite trees and room-booking hardware are out of scope.
